After reading Albom's Have a Little Faith -which is taking me ages to finish it - I realise I do have the same still voice that I used to listen to and submit to. But I guess, I've been away far from that voice that it's been very vague for some time ago. Nevertheless, for me to post this up, it does somehow means that I'm alright already and everything is back to how it used to be. And yes, I'm submitting to that still voice within once again.

I guess it's quite normal for Man to run away from God. And here's what I've picked up from the same book:

"Adam hid in the garden of eden, moses tried to substitute his brother, jonah jumped a boat and was swallowed by a whale (it's not really a whale. more like a big fish)... Man likes to run from God. it's a tradition.."

It's not really a good excuse we can use to get away with, but I guess, many were like that. But, what really matters is what happens after that. And we all know our stories from the bible. Each and everyone of these people had done things that changed and rocked the world. As for me, I've been away from Him plenty of times and each time, I'll know my way back to Him. I aspire to be be a great 'somebody' one day - changing lives and saving the world etc. =p (save the cheerleader, save the world kind-of-thing... hahaha!)

And hmmm... I just sense some emo people around me lately (and I'm NOT refering to myself, if anyone, for some reasons, thinks that I am. rofl) and I just want to share this particular conversation from the book, when albom talked to the rabbi about happiness:

Albom: So, have we solved the secret of happiness?

Rabbi: I believe so

Albom: Are you going to tell me?

Rabbi: Yes. ready?

Albom: Ready.

Rabbi: Be satisfied.

Albom: That's it?

Rabbi: Be grateful.

Albom: That's it?

Rabbi: For the love you receive. For what you have. and for what God has given you.

Albom: That's it?

Rabbi: (Look and sigh deeply) That's it.

Yeap, be grateful and satisfied, guys!

It's one of my favourite. Though my mom (I assumed) lost my whole box collection (movie) while doing spring cleaning some time ago, the novel will do just fine.


Man.. I don't think I can remember any of the characters in it. Only remember Don Von Corleone and Michael Corleone (Al Pacino!!)

The film won 3 Academy Awards, 16 Grammys and of cause the sequel won about 6 Ocsars (I think). A must-see movie and obviously, the novel is a must-read! Haha!

I really wanna start reading it. But mom thinks that I should study for trials. Lepas trials baru baca... aiks! Better get my arse moving.
